Just the solution for our elder fur baby
What I liked about this specifically was the length. I think our smaller sized elder fur baby has depth perception problems. Eventually trying to jump up on bed to be with us was gone. What was worse he tried to still jump up and missed bad enough he injured his back hind leg. That was the wake up call for us.Our thinking was a ramp that was long and able to traverse the end of the bed, like this one, would provide a less steep incline and make it easier for him to walk up and take some stress off...

Our thinking was a ramp that was long and able to traverse the end of the bed, like this one, would provide a less steep incline and make it easier for him to walk up and take some stress off his hind legs.
It did take a little bit of coaxing to get him not to fear it. But with some treats and praise, before the end of the night, he was starting to get used to it.
As I write this he uses it just fine on his own. His leg has healed up, but I absolutely think this ramp will be a game changer as our fur baby gets older and less physically able. This will still give him the independence to get up to go get a drink of water and allow him to get back up to us on our bed for bedtime.
If you are considering getting this, I would highly recommend it. For myself, putting it together was pretty easy. Maybe twice I needed to use my shoulder to steady a piece while I tightened it. I did need to use a socket to hold a nut while tightening. They give you an Alan wrench but you will need something else to hold the nut when you are screwing it together. The directions to assemble are all pictures no words, just a heads up.
The build quality was just fine. On the carpet, there was a couple long threads that you may want to snip with some scissors but not necessary. The rest was built just fine and should hold up for our use a long time. We put his dog bed under the ramp in the unused space beneath the ramp. You can reclaim some of the lost space at the foot of your bed you may have lost.
Two pro tips for good results. When you go to tighten the bolts there is a lot of play in the way It was milled. Make sure the wood edges of the pieces you are connecting line up when you are tightening it down.
Next tip, if you look at our attached pic, you will notice some cardboard at the end of the bed between it and the ramp. There are some small holes it might leave open and just to be safe, we blocked it with cardboard. This is optional but we were afraid he might get his leg stuck in one of those holes and hurt himself which is the opposite of what this ramp is supposed to be helping with lol 😆

It is for my outside cats to have a safe and warm place for this winter. It was shipped quickly. I have not been able to put it together,so can't say on all the parts, yet.
