How to Master Throwing a Fun Backyard Party

Are you finally ready to get back outdoors and throw a fun backyard party this weekend? If so, then you’re in the right place. We’re going to cover 6 quick tips on how you can Ace any backyard party that comes your way.

How to Host a Fun Backyard Party

No. 1 Prep the Grill

You need to make sure that the food situation is under control. Whether you’re thinking of preparing hot dogs or steaks, you need to make sure that your grill is clean enough to eat off of. If not, make sure that you leave yourself enough time to either clean your grill or order a new one before your big shindig!

Tip #1 Prep the Grill for your Backyard Party

Check out this and other grills HERE.

No. 2  Set up your Seating

You don’t want your guests standing around all night like it’s a DMV. Make sure that you have enough seating outside to let your friends relax.

Tip #2 Set up your Seating for your Backyard Party

Land BIG smiles without breaking the budget by checking out how you can update your outdoor seating HERE.

No. 3 Recruit your Friends to Help

Sometimes slapping a “B.Y.O.B” on your party invites and texts, aren’t enough. One of the main reasons people don’t throw backyard parties is because someone, oftentimes YOU, will be left doing all of the work. However, I would ask ‘Why not share the load?”

Pro Host Master Tip: To lessen the strain a good host feels when preparing for multiple people go and recruit some of your guests to help you prep. Ask them to come over an hour or two earlier to run errands and complete any setup that you haven’t had a chance to finish.

Tip 3 Recruit your Friends to Help for your Backyard Party

Don’t be too shy to ask some additional people in your guest list to help you put together your backyard party. You’d be surprised at how many people are willing to lend a hand.

No. 4 Keep your Drinks Cold

Not only is this brown wicker ice chest great to look at, but it also comes with a lot of additional options.  Keep your patio bottle cap free with the additional cap catcher and bottle opener features.

Tip 4 Keep your Drinks Cold for your Backyard Party

Check out this and other portable patio drink coolers HERE.

No. 5 Protect your Guests from the Elements

If nature does decide to rain on your parade, be prepared with an outdoor canopy tent. Whether you’re celebrating your child’s graduation party or if you’re throwing a Sunday Night Football party, you want to make sure that all of your weeks spent planning don’t get rained on.

Tip 5 Protect your Guest during your Backyard Party

No. 6 Let’s turn up the Heat

I’m guilty of eating one (or 5) too many smores when I’m around an open fire. Lately, I’ve personally have been enjoying this wood burning fire pit / BBQ grill combo.  When my friends are over, I’m able to hand off the main grill duty to someone else (See how I used Tip 3 right there), while I move to the smaller grill and prepare some shish kabobs or smores desserts. Not only will this combo kit serve as a grill, but it also acts as a fire pit to help both you and your guests stay warm when it cools down in the evenings.

Tip 6 Stay warm during your Backyard Party

Sounds like some great tips, little harder to do in Illinois in the winter months, we have a tendency to heat garages & have garage parties but the tips still apply somewhat. I bookmarked for Spring as we will be busy with Graduations..even my upcoming 50th birthday party. I want to do 50 cakes & have a food fight outside of course 😉
